The problem

A two-sided marketplace has to make different users, incentives, permissions, financial flows, and failure states feel like one coherent product. UGCx needed more than a landing page: creators and brands needed a dependable path from profile and discovery through work and payment.

The approach

The useful work was not a single feature. It was designing the full path, making the tradeoffs visible, and carrying it through rollout.

  1. 01

Defined the creator, brand, campaign, application, invitation, agreement, messaging, review, subscription, and administration workflows.

  2. 02

Used an AI-native development process while retaining responsibility for product decisions, architecture direction, testing, deployment, and production hardening.

  3. 03

Implemented authenticated workflows, role-aware lifecycle rules, Stripe Checkout and Connect, signed webhooks, payout controls, Cloudflare R2 uploads, and asynchronous media processing.

  4. 04

Worked with a marketing-focused cofounder while solely owning product and technical delivery.

What changed

Launched a functioning full-stack marketplace rather than a static concept.

Built operational surfaces for both end users and administrators.

Created a substantial technical case study in workflow modeling, integrations, authorization, payment reliability, and failure recovery.

Evidence boundary

The public product is available at ugcx.io.

The source includes production-oriented marketplace, payment, media, authorization, and administration systems.

No user-count or revenue claim is published until backed by a dated production export.

AI workflow disclosure: UGCx was built with an AI-native workflow. Gabe owned the product definition, system direction, validation, releases, and operation; AI tools accelerated implementation.
